Please Note

For one-sided cards, provide a two-page PDF: page 1 contains the CMYK design and page 2 the foil or 3D spot-UV artwork.

For a double-sided card with foil or 3D UV on one face, supply four PDF pages: front artwork, back artwork, front special-finish artwork, and a blank fourth page.

Show foil or 3D spot-UV areas as solid black vector shapes in their exact intended positions. Use 100% black only, with no cyan, magenta or yellow in the special-finish file.

Foil registration can vary by approximately ±0.5mm, so perfect alignment is not guaranteed. Avoid small text and fine lines: use fonts of at least 10pt and line weights of at least 1pt.

Plan the card design and any special finish as separate parts of the artwork. The CMYK file controls the printed image, while solid-black vector shapes show where foil or 3D spot UV should be applied. Keep the registration tolerance in mind when positioning a finish close to text or fine detail, rather than relying on perfect alignment.
