Create a lasting publication with Hardback Book printing from Banner&Board. Also known as hardcover books, these use specialist case binding to give frequently used publications a durable, premium finish.

How are they binded?

The printed front and back cover wraps around greyboard to form the case. Inner text pages are bound using strong PUR (polyurethane reactive) adhesive. White, unprinted endpapers are glued to the front and rear of the case, with blank flysheets placed immediately before and after the printed pages. Together these elements create the finished case-bound book.

Artwork specification

Submit case-bound artwork in two separate files.

Supply the outside cover as one spread including the spine, hinge and wrap-around. Download the templates for bleed, safe-zone and wrap allowances, and use the spine-width calculator to select the correct spine size.

The second file should contain the inner pages as individual pages in reading order. For a book with 40 inner pages, supply a 40-page inner PDF and a separate cover PDF showing the full cover spread, spine and wrap-around.

• Booklets must contain an inner page total divisible by 4.
• Include 3mm bleed on all sides
• 10mm safe zone on all sides
• Supply as a CMYK PDF in PDF/X1a format
• Outline or embed fonts
• 300dpi resolution

White, unprinted endpapers and flysheets are added after your artwork is received.
